The Old Vicarage offers residential, dementia, respite and daycare
This family-run, award-winning home in Clay Cross, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, offers affordable quality care. Our friendly, caring team ensures person-centred care with residents encouraged to lead an enriched life, supported by our engaging social programme packed full of clubs, trips out and regular entertainment. We have comfortable and well-equipped bedrooms and our pleasant sensory gardens have an aviary and patio seating area shaded by mature trees. Our residents with dementia are supported with sensory areas, reminiscence activities and memory boxes.

Our residents enjoy a varied and engaging program of activities and events, designed to enhance the physical, mental and spiritual well-being of all our residents. From creative activities such as painting, baking and gardening, to regular visits from entertainers such as singers, dancers and musicians, religious services and outings, our activities are intended to inspire and engage our residents as individuals and as a community.

We have a great choice of lifestyle facilities within the home, a hair salon, as well as a café and mature gardens complete with raised planters designed for any gardener, regardless of their mobility.
With separate dining rooms, our residents have a great choice of dining options, and we take pride in offering high-quality food, chosen by the residents and prepared by our experienced catering team.

We recently enjoyed a fantastic visit from a local pantomime group, who performed Jack and the Beanstalk - full of laughs, and festive fun!
The afternoon was then topped off with a wonderful performance from Annie, whose singing had everyone smiling and joining in. 🎤 We had a fab time and loved every moment - thank you for such brilliant entertainment! 💛

We ask that you do not visit if you feel unwell, even if fully vaccinated and have tested negative for Covid. You may resume visiting 3 days after you feel better following symptoms like cough, cold, high temperature, diarrhea, vomiting, etc.
